About the Awards
The Smile Friendly Awards were established to highlight the dedication and passion of schools, aged care facilities, community groups, and individuals who make a lasting difference in oral health education and care. The awards acknowledge the everyday heroes whose commitment supports healthier smiles across Australia.
Who Can Be Recognised
Awards are designed for those who:
- Foster better oral health habits in schools or educational settings
- Support residents in aged care facilities to maintain oral health
- Volunteer or lead projects that raise awareness about dental care
- Make outstanding contributions to the oral health of their community
Award Categories
Categories may include schools, school heroes, aged care facilities, aged care heroes, and individual contributors who demonstrate exceptional commitment to oral health.
Ceremony and Recognition
This year, finalists and winners are invited to a cocktail ceremony, held at the Adelaide Zoo. The event features awards presentations, photos, and networking opportunities. Winners receive a certificate of recognition, a prize contribution toward a facility or project of their choice, and other celebratory acknowledgements.
