Dentist
Job Type: Contract – Full Time/Part Time
Location: Northern Rivers region, NSW

The Australian Dental Foundation is a national award-winning health promotion charity, passionately committed to improving Australia’s oral health outcomes and well-being.

We help to address inequalities in oral health through expanding access to compassionate, quality and professional oral health care for those who suffer the greatest burden of oral disease in Australia.
Our programs target support for at risk cohorts including children, seniors, and people with specialised health care needs.

Since inception, we have supported and improved oral health outcomes for more than 45,000 Australians, changing their lives for the better. Whist our work has had significant impact, it is not done yet. There remains a considerable need to address the inequalities across Australia and our aim is to dramatically reduce oral disease.

We are looking for permanent, full-time/part-time Dentist(s) who will be responsible for providing oral health care for the Northern Rivers region. The position will be based in the greater Grafton region and work with a key client to deliver dental services within a fixed clinic setting.

Job Description

If successful, you will be responsible for:

  • Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients, including dental check-ups, cleanings, fissure seals, x-rays, fillings and simple extractions
  • Educate patients and legal guardians on maintaining good oral health, including oral hygiene instruction and dietary advice
  • Carefully document all medications, diagnoses, treatments and consultations
  • Report to State Operations Manager & staff at Client’s facility

  • Confidence in your clinical dentistry skills with broad scope of practice to treat general, emergency, cosmetic and preventative dental needs for clients

Dentist
Job Type: Permanent – Full Time/Part Time
Location: SA

The Australian Dental Foundation is an independent, national award-winning health promotion charity that has been proactive in delivering on-ground programs and support to help to improve Australia’s oral health outcomes and well-being, one smile at a time.

We address the inequalities which exist in oral health to enable the provision of quality and professional oral care to those who need it most. Since inception, we have supported and improved over 41,500 Australians’ oral health, changing their lives for the better.
Whilst our work has had a significant impact so far, our work isn’t done yet. There is still a considerable need to address the inequalities across Australia and we won’t stop until oral disease harm is dramatically minimised.

We are looking for permanent, full-time/part-time Dentist(s) who will be responsible for providing oral health care and education. The position will primarily work within a mobile setting with opportunities to work within locally based fixed clinics, in conjunction with our dental partners.

Dental Assistant

Job Type: Permanent – Full Time/Part Time or Casual

Location: VIC

We address the inequalities which exist in oral health to enable the provision of quality and professional oral care to those who need it most. Since inception, we have supported and improved over 41,500 Australians’ oral health, changing their lives for the better.

The Australian Dental Foundation is currently seeking a motivated, confident Dental Assistant to join our mobile dental team in Victoria (both in Aged Care and schools)

This role will ideally suit someone with a health/dental background with sound customer service and chair-side assisting skills to join our friendly team. The candidate must have a valid Australian Driver’s Licence.

We are looking for an individual who is:

  • Experienced within the Healthcare/Dental industry (preferred)
  • Committed to providing a high level of patient care
  • Passionate about helping the community, and willing to travel with the company’s car

Oral Health Therapist (OHT)

Job Type: Permanent – Full Time/Part Time or Casual

Location: SA

Job Description

If successful, you will be responsible for:

  • Procure records including photographs, radiographs and digital scans
  • Build relationships with patients and parents
  • Assist the Orthodontist with bondings, adjustments and reviews
  • Patient education and instruction
  • Deband fixed orthodontic appliances

Desired Skills, Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health and possessing strong social skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • A critical thinker, with proven scientific and clinical knowledge
  • AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist
