Our team proudly attended the South Australian Community Achievement Awards on Friday 10th November which saw ActivOT win the prestigious Australian Dental Foundation Community Welfare Innovation Award, presented by Dr Greg Miller, Chair, Australian Dental Foundation.
ActivOT is Australia’s first and only Occupational Therapy Franchise business. ActivOT challenges the traditional franchise model through an innovative approach to not only franchising but also in how community‐based Occupational Therapy services are delivered Australia‐wide. Founder Helen Whait has built a community of like‐minded, values‐aligned practitioners who benefit from a pooling of shared resources. This ultimately means that the ActivOT practitioners are able to deliver fully client‐centred care. ActivOT is pioneering the charge to combat burnout and bureaucracy in allied health, all while equipping occupational therapists with the tools to provide the best possible service to the highest standard.
The South Australian Community Achievement Awards began in 2010, and are designed to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions individuals, communities, and businesses are making throughout the community in South Australia. These awards aim to recognise their success and achievements, which contribute to making South Australia a better place.
The Australian Dental Foundation is a proud sponsor of the Awards, with our very own Shauna Black joining the judging panel. It was a tough task with many deserving participants nominated.
Well done to the organisers of the South Australian Community Achievement Awards for a fabulous evening and congratulations to all the winners.
