Celebrating 10 Years of Impact: Australian Dental Foundation marks a decade with the inaugural Smile Friendly Awards

The Australian Dental Foundation has proudly celebrated 10 years of improving oral health access and outcomes across schools, aged-care facilities and communities nationwide. To honour a decade of partnership, innovation and service, the Foundation hosted the inaugural Smile Friendly Awards, a milestone event recognising individuals and organisations who have championed better oral health for all Australians.

Held at the Adelaide Zoo, the anniversary celebration brought together 80 guests from education, health, government, and community sectors. The evening recognised not only the dedicated finalists and winners, but also the collective effort that has shaped the Foundation’s first decade of impact.

We were honoured to welcome a number of influential leaders and representatives who have supported oral health advancement across South Australia.

The Honourable Katrine Hildyard MP, Minister for Child Protection, presented our awards to the deserving winners.

This year’s finalists demonstrated exceptional commitment, compassion, and advocacy. Each has made a meaningful contribution to improving oral health outcomes.
