My School Dentist Program Brings Smiles to Kadina Memorial School

10 September 2025 | News

The Australian Dental Foundation recently visited Kadina Memorial School as part of our My School Dentist program, providing students with convenient access to high-quality oral health care.

This mobile dental initiative is designed to reduce barriers to care by bringing dental professionals and equipment directly to schools. Families don’t need to take time off work or travel long distances — children can receive check-ups and treatments in a familiar environment that fits seamlessly into the school day.

We couldn’t have done it without support from the ATCO Communities Fund, which helped us to transport our trailer and accommodate our staff on the beautiful Yorke Peninsula.

Supporting Children’s Oral Health

Early dental care is essential for building strong, healthy smiles. By providing on-site dental services, the My School Dentist program helps detect and treat oral health issues early, while also educating children about the importance of brushing, healthy eating, and regular check-ups.

At Kadina Memorial School, parents and staff praised the program for making it easier for children to access the care they need.

Making a Lasting Impact

The Australian Dental Foundation is committed to reducing barriers to dental care for families across Australia. By visiting schools like Kadina Memorial School, we’re ensuring that more children can enjoy brighter, healthier futures — one tooth at a time.
